Mission

White Orchid Therapy and Wellness provides high quality therapeutic support for women across the lifespan, specializing in before, during, and after pregnancy, phase of life transitions, grief and loss, relationship stressors, anxiety, depression, and adjusting to the unexpected.

Vision and Goals

Life’s journey comes with many transitions and challenges, some are predictable, but others are often unpredictable and even traumatic at times. White Orchid Therapy and Wellness will teach you the skills to not only be able to cope with and heal from the current challenges you are facing, but also to help you feel empowered and confident to navigate future stressors and hardships that may arise.

White Orchid Therapy and Wellness will guide you on how to strengthen your resiliency. Resilience is what gives you the emotional strength to cope with trauma, adversity, grief, change, and hardship. Resiliency allows you to utilize your resources, strengths, and skills to overcome challenges and work through setbacks. The goal of treatment is not just to feel better now, but to feel better, more hopeful, and more confident for a lifetime.

Approach

White Orchid Therapy and Wellness uses evidence-based approaches that are strengths-based and solution-focused. You are taking this step because you want to feel better as soon as possible. The goal of solution-focused therapy is to do just that by focusing on problem-solving immediate concerns, while strengthening your skills and ability to both prevent and problem-solve future stressors. We all have strengths within us and resources available to us, but it is easy to lose sight of these during times of heightened stress when anxiety, worry, and depression take over. You will learn how to incorporate quick, simple mindfulness and communication strategies into your daily routine to reduce worry, panic, and racing thoughts that fuel depression and anxiety. These simple strategies will help you to feel more present, focused, and accomplished in your daily life.

Meet Karen

I’m Karen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Psychotherapist in the state of PA. I have over 15 years of experience in maternal mental health and more than 10 years of experience in treating children, adolescents, and families. I am a member of Postpartum Support International (PSI).

As a mother myself, I have a deep understanding of the incredible demands and pressures on women today to do it all and enjoy every minute of it. I am passionate about connecting women to the supports and skills they need to feel their strongest and best.

I will listen. I will prioritize your feelings of safety and trust. I will challenge you to be vulnerable, consider alternative perspectives, and practice new skills. I will offer you new insights, education, and resources. We will work together to build a strong therapeutic alliance that helps you to feel comfortable while gently challenging yourself to push past your comfort zone for growth. I will help you to learn the tools you need to feel empowered, resilient, confident, and strong so you can get joy and hope back into your life.

For years, I have had the honor and pleasure to work alongside authentic, sincere, and genuine women motivated to find their way through difficult, and often unexpected, emotions and experiences. I look forward to having the opportunity to work alongside you to accomplish what matters to you most. You can feel better. I am here to help. I invite you to contact me for a free 15-min consultation to learn more and ask any questions you may have.
